Something special to come

I am involved in a mid winter swap over at Crafters Anonymous, and tomorrow is the kick off for 12 days of fun and pressies with my swap partner Debra Speijers, so pop back from tomorrow, you will see what I made for her and also what I received in my surprise packages from Debra.  Can't wait, but here is a look at all the tags I made for the 12 days, add them to the brown paper I recycled from Stampin' Up! deliveries, some bakers twine in a green colour and I have a very vintagey feel to my lot of parcels I have sent her, here is a piccie of the tags:

I used curly cute happy birthday sentiment for the word day, just covered the birth part with a post it note then stamped the rest of the word to get day.
the numbers are covered in crystal effects.
The word day is white embossed.
and here is the package of goodies posted to Deb, hope it has all held up,
I started wrapping these back in January lol, far too excited to get this
fun project underway.

Some more items for the strength and hope set....

Ok, I know I have flooded my blog with this fabulous set, and I definitely got my moneys worth out of this stamp set, all the while helping out a fantastic cause.  Below are my last projects to show you:

These cute little totally CASED  kleenex tissue box holders are fabulous, and you can find them HERE,

Also CASED from the very talented lady as above Vicky Hayes:  I gave these out to all the guests at both workshops, I loved these as I made about 25 in about 15 minutes, fast and effective. Thanks so much Vicky for saving me a mountain of time :)

Next I made up some bigz butterfly magnets.  I used adhesive magnet sheets, attached very vanilla cardstock, stamped on the cardstock and then ran through the big shot machine.  wullah!

This magnet is just stamped with pearls added, colours are crumb cake and blushing bride.

Its so hard to tell in this photo but the one below has been embossed.  I stamped in versamark, then quickly into blushing bride ink, then heat embossed with clear embossing powder, once it was all set, then I let it cool and then ran it through my big shot machine. Added some pearls and its done, I love this one to bits.

It is magnetised onto my black magnetic board.

Okay, here is my cupcake holder again, this time with all my bits added for my workshops,
layer one has the magnets attached to the Paris sign, and the hostess gift.
Layer two has the little individual gifts from me with purchase,
Layer three has the 3D ideas etc for the class, and tied around the bottom are some card ideas for display.

Cancer Council Biggest Tea wrap up

Oh My goodness, what a day I had today, it was awesome!!!!  I am extremely tired now but it was well worth it - why?  Over at Crafters Anonymous (where I am a member and you can be too), Tia and her team held a biggest morning tea(which went all day) event to raise money for the cancer council.  We started at 9.30 am Adelaide time and finished about 6.15 tonight, and it was a full on but very satisfying day of just crafting. The best part of all was that the target set for the fundraising event was EXCEEDED - how wonderful was that - full monies raised goes straight to the Cancer council.  My completed projects are below:

Tea cup easel with Debi Ryan:

3D folder with Dee Sturgeon

Cracked Glass with Jane McGlade Smith:

A good day was had by all, thanks to the CA team.

A cupcake holder or something else?

Okay, I have another display item for you today that I have purchased recently.  I did get it at our local discount store and it was a bargain, so I thought hmmm where can I use this and will it be productive. Yep its a cupcake holder.  The thing I liked most about my Eiffel tower cupcake holder was not only was it shabby chic(which I love), and it wasn't the word PARIS on the top (which I loved to), but the fact that the cupcake holder layers were more basket like, so not made for individual cupcakes. I immediately thought I can not only use it for cupcakes, but also for many many other things including my papercraft projects.  I have 2 workshops this month, which I will be focusing on the strength and hope stamp set, so here are my projects and here is my fabbo cupcake stand.

Small gift with purchase item from myself at the two workshops for this special stamp set.

A bookmark behind a bevelled window.

I have focused a lot on the strength and hope stamp set this month as I think that it is the one stamp set that can help change the world.  Why? Because every set sold Stampin' up! donates $2 to breast cancer research.  Just think of the potential donation it could be!  Anyway I have another project (and two hostess gifts for workshops this coming weekend) to show you today using this fantastic and most beautiful set - which I think is also a very versatile set, can be used for so much more than just "hope".  Here is my project.

I have used 2 way glue and dazzling diamonds on the centre line of the butterfly and across the horizontal bar of the "H" to give it a little more interest.  It is  a little hard to see in the photo.  Little clear gems sit also on the join of the pink ribbon and the twine.

Details:

Stamp Sets: Strength and Hope
Ink Pads: Blushing bride, Crumb cake, Pretty in pink
Cardstock:  Whisper white, Crumb cake
DSP: Soft subtles DSP stack
Punches: Modern label punch
Tools:Big shot machine, matchbox die (nah - but you can still create a basic matchbox shape off of a template)
Other: Glue dots, bevelled window panes (large size), twine, basic gemstones

Happy birthday with strength and hope

I love this stamp set and when anyone purchases it, Stampin' up! donates $2 to the breast cancer foundation so it is a very important set to own.  Anyway I thought I would do a more modern take on this fabulous set.

On the left hand side the card has been embossed in black on the two flourishes, on the second card, the flourishes have been stamped in stazon ink, and the butterfly has been stamped first onto the white cardstock direct, then again on a scrap piece then cut out and raised on dimensionals.

Stamp set: Strength and hope, curly cute
Cardstock: Cherry cobbler, Basic black, whisper white
Ink: Cherry cobbler, black staz on, versamark
Punch: scallop trim border punch
Other: Heat gun, black embossing powder, powder pal tray, embossing buddy.

A bevelled window pane?

In the current catalogue, Stampin' Up! offers the ever so popular bevelled window panes, these little acrylic pieces are so HOT in the papercrafting industry right now.  Don't miss your chance to own some of these!  Here is a card using the largest window pane.

The white satin ribbon has been dipped in a mixture of  cherry cobbler reinker and water then heat set to give it the cherry cobbler colour as SU don't sell that particular colour satin ribbon.
Word of warning though: Wear gloves when doing this or else you will end up with very red stained fingers lol.

Ink Pads: Crumb cake, cherry cobbler
Cardstock: Crumb cake, Cherry cobbler, whisper white
Tools: Paper cutter
Other:Twine, white satin ribbon, cherry cobbler reinker, water mister, glue dots (a must)

A tissue a day.........

Its challenge time again over at Just Add ink, and this week its a colour challenge, they are such pretty colours to work with.  I wanted to do something a little different this week, so opted against a card, and went 3D.  I decided to make this tissue box holder that fits a kleenex size handbag pack of tissues, now how cool would this look sitting on your desk at work, or on the dash of your car, and what a perfect little gift for a mothers day stall, a christmas stall, and the best thing is, it is refillable, so you can get lots of use out of this cute little project.

A CASE of a brilliant kind

I don't know how many of  you have visited the oh so very talented Teneale Williams, her cards both inside and out are the most gorgeous I have seen.  Attention to detail is supreme.  Anyway I visit her blog as often as I can, but when I saw this card I definitely had to CASE it - it is perfect!!!

I changed the border punch, I stamped the base crumb cake in the strength and hope design, I changed the colour combo around a little, I omitted the banner, but still kept it true to her fabulous design.
