Pink Bliss

I have to say that when I created the focal point to this card, it wasn't for this actual card, and the idea went horribly wrong (yes even happens to us!) anyway, I salvaged the focal image and popped it onto a new card.

A pearl adorns the centre of the flourish.

Super shiny isnt it? I embossed the whole focal image 3 times to make it
look like glass. It goes perfectly with the sweet and sour DSP

Details:

Stamp Sets: Bliss (sale a bration)
Ink Pads: early espresso, rose red
Cardstock: Whisper white, basic black
DSP:  Sweet and sour
Tools: Big shot machine
Other: Nestie, sponge, basic pearl.

The flowers were stamped first then again on another piece of white cardstock
then cut out and raised on dimensionals to give a 3D look. It took a VEREEE

A ribbon flower?

I popped into Stuck on you sketches as they have a weekly tutorial now and found this gorgeous flower, so I pulled out my Whisper White organza ribbon from Stampin' up! and gave it a whirl.

Popped in a vintage brad from Stampin' Up! and then used the little strips of pearls from the basic pearl line we carry, adhered them onto some very thin cardstock and used as a decorative feature from the centre brad. I love the result now hope SU brings out more organza ribbon in different shades ??

Details:All Stampin Up!

Basic Pearls, Whisper white organza ribbon, vintage brad and slivers of whisper white cardstock for behind the pearls.

Happy Birthday to my husband!

Well today is my husbands birthday, I can't believe he is that old lol, I met him back when he was 19, and we have been together now for nearly 18 years! Wow, where does the time go?  Anyway here is his card I made him:

I used a distressed look embossing folder on the foil, I wanted it irregular
as a background.

Happy Birthday to my darling husband, I hope you have a wonderful day,
Lots of love

Inking an embossing folder.

I am just back from another weekend of camping (yep trying to do it each month lol) and so I have a quick but effective card to show you, actually I have made two cards to show you today, and they are almost identical, the only real major difference is one card has the embossing inked differently to the other, but I love both ways for different reasons.

With this card, I inked up the top of the embossing folder where the sizzix
name is, and it achieved a more vintagey look

With this card I inked up the bottom part of the embossing folder and it turned
out to be more of a regal look to the card.

The inside of the two cards.
Hmm, which one do you prefer?  I can't decide, I like them both.!

Details:

Stamp Sets: Curly cute, Artistic etchings
Ink Pads: Basic black, Crumb cake
Cardstock: Crumb cake, very vanilla, basic black
Punches: 1 3/8" square punch, 1 1/4" square punch
Tools:  Big shot machine,
Other: embossing folder (I used vintage wallpaper)
