 "" Tab Punch"

Hello and welcome to the inaugural South Pacific punch art blog hop!!!
We are a group of Stampin Up demonstrators from
Australia and  New Zealand who love our Stampin Up punches. We have gotten together to showcase a whole heap of fantastic ideas of ways to use the punches that you can purchase from Stampin Up.  We hope we will inspire you and encourage you to use those punches in new and beautiful ways. Please leave a comment and let us know what you think to go in the draw to win some yummy scrummy punch art blog candy (this offer not available to su demos)

If you are here then you may have just come from  Amys  blog, If you have just hopped on here then Grab a cuppa and hop aboard  and work your way around the blog hop for some punch art inspiration....
Ok My punch I have chosen to showcase is the tab punch:

Project #1

A post it note "clipboard"  which has magnets on the back to put on the fridge. The tab punch is used on the top to form the "clip" of the clipboard.

Soft suede is clear embossed with the woodgrain background stamp.  Newsprint DSP is the paper on the clipboard.  Remember stamp (also used on post it notes in corner) is from the new set word play.
PROJECT # 2

Cupcake Shop

Cupcake base is the tab punch as is the frosting of the cupcakes,  the scallops on the canopy of the cake shop is also created with the tab punch.

The label under the sentiment is the tab punch, cut in half and restuck together to fit in the bottom part of the card

1st cupcake has crystal effects on the frosting, 3rd cupcake has crystal effects on the cherry to make it all shiny - yumm!!!

White gel pen creates the creases on the cupcake patty pan
Project #3
Evening Dress

Made with all tab punchies, black embossing on black punchie, Dazzling diamonds on the skirt.  The neckline is made using the tab punch but on the side.

The white border has the corners punched out with the tab punch also. The black base cardstock has black embossing around the border using the priceless stamp set.

Download a copy of these on PDF HERE

and this also ties in with a new Stampin Up only challenge you can find HERE:  punch art

My wish list

My wish list

I was baby sitting my nieces last night, and miss 10 (going on 21) decided to sit on my cardmaking, the first card she made was her own design, and it turned out fabulous I think, so I just let her loose with the paper and ink, and she rummaged through my stamps until she found what she was looking for.  Here is what her card looked like when she finished:

the only thing I did help her with was piercing the hole for the brad on the front snowflake - those paper piercers are really sharp and I did not fancy myself at the emergency room tonight lol. She trimmed all the cardstock, stamped all the images, glued, layed out and I think she did a fabulous job!

I will be back with another post of her next card she made.

For you

For You

I am combining two challenges for this card, as one challenge helped out the other, so the first one is for Mojo monday and its a sketch and the other one is from Stampin' Up! Only challenge and that is to use fabric, well as we dont have actual fabric from SU here in Australia, i am using ribbon, one is current and the other is retired.

the flower close up, is made of cardstock, and there is also new white satin ribbon and retired pink organdy ribbon.

An inkspiration Challenge

Its that time of week again, time for another Inkspiration Challenge and there is a fabulous sketch over there this week, and here it is:

My doily is the circle section, I have used frames with a flourish and style beautiful for the background stamping, a bingo card I had in my drawer, cant remember who made that, the flower has been inked in early espresso, a pearl some ribbon and a Stampin' Up! vintage brad. Also some early espresso cardstock run through the crimper as a background to highlight the ribbon better.

A NEW Designer Series Paper - Limited Time Only

A NEW Designer Series Paper - Limited Time Only

Check out these gorgeous papers that are available for only the smallest amount of time, these are the papers that you can get in the Christmas bundle along with the stamp set Welcome Christmas - one of my fave stamp sets for the Christmas season.  One other reason to be excited over these papers are that in each pack are 2 single sided papers BUT they are FLOCKED - and that is something to be excited over.  So you will receive in this pack 2 of each 4 designs (double sided) and the2 types of 2 single pages of flocked - yay, so you will still get the 12 sheets.  Isn't it just fabulous looking paper, so team this paper up with the stamp set WELCOME CHRISTMAS -  PLUS the free bundle of ribbon of your choice and all your Christmas cards and your christmas scrapbook layout is taken care of for this year - woo hoo! now that is something to get excited about.

Happy 10th Wedding anniversary..

Happy 10th Wedding anniversary.. to my hubby

I  used the sketch from the card patterns challenge this week.

The sentiment has been stamped, put into the hodgepodge then crystal effects has been filled in on the top.

and the inside

 Now for the mushy stuff:

I have to show you firstly what my darling husband did for me, when we ordered the flowers for our wedding I had a sheath of roses, and the rose colour I found in a magazine  had to be bought over to Adelaide from Overseas.  Well DH took a photo of our wedding flowers to the floral supplier and had them match it (also bought in from overseas)  and the foliage also to match the wedding bouquets, how sweet was that. here is my gorgeous bouquet
20 beautiful roses, 2 for each year of our marriage.  Amazingly we have been together for 17 years, but married for 10, where has the time gone????  Oh and yes, i got with my hubby at a very young age lol.

now for a card that DH made me and with the help of our 3 year old son - he found the style of card in my studio and gave it a go, even did the window all by himself - hmmm looks like the curly label punch was bought in for this one. Definitley a card maker in the making lol. Thank you so much DH and for the beee - u -tiful flowers and Haighs chocolates - peppermint of course, Love Mel xxx
