40th Wedding Anniversary

Happy 40th Wedding Anniversary

A 40th wedding anniversary has popped up and I was asked to make a card and a couple of matching bookmarks for the couple, so i got to use my new number dies from Stampin' Up!, I used cherry cobbler (also new) card stock and ran it thru the big shot machine to get the 40, I then applied crystal effects over the numbers to make them all shiny! The best part about this card that I love the most is the NEW shimmer white cardstock, its heaven, all sparkly and just lovely.

Deets:
Cardstock: Shimmery white (NEW), Cherry cobbler (NEW) and baja breeze
Ink pad: Cherry cobbler
Stamp set: Artistic Etchings, Occasional quotes, A word for you (All new)
Tools: Big shot machine, Bigz simple numbers die(NEW), two tags die (NAH), stamp a ma jig, Corner ticket punch (NLA), Scallop circle punch, Sponges
Other: gemstones (NEW), crystal effects, clear rhinestone brads

If you would like to learn how to make this then email me here for a class or workshop or alternatively you can purchase the current items to recreate this project from me wherever you are in Australia - I will have Stampin' up! deliver straight to your door.

Printed petals project from convention....

Printed petals on a fancy favour box

A fancy favour box is a quick and easy yet gorgeous looking box for gift giving.  I have once again used the printed petals stamp set that I used on a card a few posts ago, see how versatile it is?  A few pieces of cardstock, some of our beautiful new ribbons, a sentiment from party this way and you have a quick and easy gift box - yay just the way I like them  lol.

have your cake and eat it too....

have your cake and eat it too....

Now I have something very sinful and delicious to share with you, and this baby has been baking for the last two weeks.  Now if you have ever had me for a workshop you would remember this item albeit looking a little different, the old version opened at the back (very annoying) and was quite large, well this new little bakery item I found here and  a few weeks ago I purchased the recipe to bake it and like I said has been baking since then, I will show you a picture then explain what i have done with the "topping".

DELICIOUS DON'T YOU THINK?

This item will be used at my next main event on the 9th October - so you don't want to miss that why? Because inside these little slices of yumminess are some surprises (redeemable once a certain order value per person has been met)

"The beautiful roses on the top of the cake I also learnt how to make from the same lady but the thing I did a little differently is I rubbed each flower with a pencil to break down the fibres and split the cardstock into 2 pieces (very time consuming hence why its been baking for weeks).  Anyway.... this gave my roses a really soft effect which I personally prefer.  So 15 flowers later, I am done.  These slices of cake actually open from the top, much more user friendly.  I also added some shimmer paint made into a spritz to give the flowers some more interest."

Over the next couple of weeks I will hope to also unveil some more delicious yumminess which will be at the same christmas stamp a stack on the 9th October.

So do you feel like an afternoon tea ( a workshop), I of course will provide the no calorie cake and you never know - you may end up with a piece of this (and the contents) for your very own.

A frog in a pond..

A frog in a pond..

A while ago a lovely customer of mine Jan (waves to Jan) popped some stamped images in my letterbox for me, with a lovely note, and I am so appreciative of them - BUT, have not sat down an really used them until today!  I really wanted copics before I started using these cute images, but *sigh* they are very expensive lol, so they will have to wait.  In the meantime i have used my stampin write markers. Anyway, I teamed it up with an Inkspiration Challenge HERE:
Here is the sketch:

and here is my card:

Normally my clouds would be a lot less defined, but I thought it added to the cuteness of the images.  the fence was a piece of crumb cake card stock, hand drawn (no ruler, I wanted it rustic not perfect lol), some hand drawn screws, my new wood grain background stamp, sponging and early espresso ink pad.  This image is so cute right down to the slingshot in his pocket.  When it came to the sentiment I thought, little angel NOT!!! so that it is, lol, Little angel(set no longer available).  New metallic eyelets from SU and the modern label punch, and twine, finish off the sign over the fence.

Everything is Stampin' Up! except for the stamped image, if you would like to know more about that you will need to email me.
