Something a little different.....

I havent inked up a stamp or scrapped a page since before leaving for Darwin nearly two weeks ago, somewhere along the way I have lost my mojo.  I grabbed this DSP that i have had for quite awhile now and its sat on my desk for at least 3 days while I have worked on it.  Why is it so hard, I have scrapped for years lol. So anyway here is Something a little different, whilst the DSPs and some flowers aren't made by Stampin' Up!, the card stock, the miniature roses, inks, pearls etc are all SU.

the miniature pink roses are made form a 1 1/4" circle punch, see tutorial below for how to make these little cuties.

the tutorial for the roses:

one circle for one rose, this particular size is 1 1/4", but you can use any circle punch, my fave one is the stampin' Up! scallop circle, it makes a beautiful flower.

Each circle you need to ink the edges

then cut them into swirls as shown:

Next, get something to twirl the circle around, I use a awl, but along matchstick works fine or similar. Start at the point where you made your first cut then continue until you get to the end.

It will be a little tight at the end, so play around with it until you get the rosette to the desired size then push the whole rosette onto a glue dot. have fun these are fabulous to make, the possibilities are endless.
Deets:
Card stock: 12 x 12 Pink pirouette
DSP: Non SU, email me if you would like further details on this item.
Stamp Set: All a flutter
Inks: Whisper white, Certainly celery,Rose Red, Pink Pirouette, Pretty in pink (all for the 3 all a flutter butterflies)
Other Stampin' up! Supplies: Pretties kit, cutter kit, White embossing powder, heat gun, powder pals
Other Non Stampin' up! Supplies: paper doilies, Lace

If you would like to purchase any of these stampin' up! products please email me here.

Punch Pals....

Punch Pals

You will receive 37 sheets of punch shapes  including the border punches.  Each punched shape will come with an order number, a description as per 2010/2011 catalogue, and the catalogue price.  It will be popped onto a ring that you can open to add more shapes and take retired shapes off.  The colour cardstock used will be Crumb Cake, so that additions can be added at a later date (mine used is a retired colour) Here is a picture of the finished product.

The cardstock has been laminated so where the punched out shape is, is a clear laminate window, perfect for putting against sentiments also to see if that punch will fit it.  A great personal tool or one for a demonstrator to take to a workshop.
If you would like to order one please email me here

Cost for Australian residents will be $15.00 plus $4.50 postage (Aust ONLY)   and payment can be made through paypal or direct deposit.(see right side bar for paypal button)

NOTE: DUE TO PRICE INCREASE OF CARDSTOCK I HAVE HAD TO INCREASE THE PUNCH PAL (SORRY) TO $15.00 PLUS POSTAGE, BUT STILL GREAT VALUE.

I am happy for you to make your own for your own use, but if someone would like to buy one, please link back or refer back to my blog, many thanks.

  Happy Stamping :)

I wish........

I cant believe its only a few days away from the last orderable day from the 2009/2010 idea book and catalogue.  If you haven't checked out the last chance list then go HERE.  I found this double layout in my file where the I wish kit was used, along with baroque motifs, spiral punch, and some twine.  This is only a tiny tiny fraction of the kit used for this  project, I cant believe how far its gone, and I still have a heap left over.

Stocks are running low of this product and its on special too so if you want it dont wait....
112193     page 137    I Wish Simply Scrappin' Kit   25%  off at  $ 27.71

If you would like to learn how to scrapbook pages similar to this then email me here for a class or workshop or alternatively you can purchase the items to recreate this project from me wherever you are in Australia - be quick you only have until stocks run out or 31st August.(whatever is first) - I will have Stampin' up! deliver straight to your door.

Some sights in Darwin....

Am home now from Darwin and Gee was it hot, they are saying its unusually hot up there for this time of year around 33 and 34 degrees, and very humid esp in the mornings.

This is a picture of the "beach" right across the road from our hotel, only after i got back up off the beach did my work friend tell me you couldnt swim in it. "ughhhh" crocadiles.

This is a view of the sunset from Mindel beach, oh I wish my camera was better,  this sunset was to die for, it was one of the most gorgeous things i have ever seen.  I couldnt understand why everyone was heading to the sand dunes, then i saw this:

Mindel Beach at Sunset

After the markets which were packed we strolled next door to the casino for a little play before heading back to the hotel.....

Darwin Casino

a few hours before we were to fly out we took a drive to the wharf and there was a naval submarine there and if you look closely enough, a naval seaman too...

Bombing of Darwin 1942 - a comemoration plaque

Anyway, this is about as much as we got to, we only had a few hours to sight see so we tried to get in a few different things.  While the weather was sometimes lovely up there, warm and sunny, it was nice to hit home soil once again to see my little one, whom i missed like crazy for 5 days.

some missing posts.... they are found

Woo hoo, still recovering a heap of things from my old blog and here are a few more items.

The first one is a pop up card i created for my stamp club in January this year, it was so easy to make, i used the embossing with dazzling diamonds technique on the whole cupcake:

the middle cupcake also has the embossing with dazzling diamonds technique used while the other two cupcakes were left undazzled lol.

and the next item is a gift card holder - a project from UStamp last year.  The scallop stamp is now retired it was a sale a bration set.  The gift card holder is an excellent idea and was also a UStamp project.

The inside of the gift card:

and lastly a gift bag ensemble, just love these:

Happy Birthday

Whoo, the last challenge for the week over at Helping Hudson and boy have i had fun this week.  This card was so fun to make, the DSP and accents arent available here I was lucky to receive them as a gift quite awhile ago but havent found someting to inspire me cutting it up but this was perfect.  I haved used them with the sketch challenge over at Helping hudson - a wheely great cause .  Here is the sketch:

and here is my card:

I have left the inside as I may pop a photo inside.  My poor sewing box has had a fright for the second time in a little over a week, yes i did sew (dont tell my mum) the button to the accent on the right, and yes those needles in the soon to be retired Stampin Up tool kit, just rock.
