I havent inked up a stamp or scrapped a page since before leaving for Darwin nearly two weeks ago, somewhere along the way I have lost my mojo. I grabbed this DSP that i have had for quite awhile now and its sat on my desk for at least 3 days while I have worked on it. Why is it so hard, I have scrapped for years lol. So anyway here is Something a little different, whilst the DSPs and some flowers aren't made by Stampin' Up!, the card stock, the miniature roses, inks, pearls etc are all SU.
the miniature pink roses are made form a 1 1/4" circle punch, see tutorial below for how to make these little cuties.
the tutorial for the roses:
one circle for one rose, this particular size is 1 1/4", but you can use any circle punch, my fave one is the stampin' Up! scallop circle, it makes a beautiful flower.
Each circle you need to ink the edges
then cut them into swirls as shown:
Next, get something to twirl the circle around, I use a awl, but along matchstick works fine or similar. Start at the point where you made your first cut then continue until you get to the end.
It will be a little tight at the end, so play around with it until you get the rosette to the desired size then push the whole rosette onto a glue dot. have fun these are fabulous to make, the possibilities are endless.
